Mold Making at EMC At EMC, we specialize in the design and manufacture of plastic injection molds for small to medium intricate, accurate engineering parts. We have invested heavily in state of the
art CAD/CAM and machine tools to provide our customers with quality injection
molds in the shortest possible time.
Pictured above is our Mikron HSM 700 High Speed Machining Center. It is the cornerstone of our mold building capabilities. With a maximum spindle speed of 42,000 rpm, the HSM 700 is designed for machining electrodes or hardened cavities, at cutting speeds 5 to 10 times higher than conventional machines.
Our EDM area features 3 state-of-the-art CNC ram type EDM's. Two of them have electrode changers. The third is a high speed CNC Wire EDM with automated wire threading and submerged burn technology.
EMC can design and build any type of injection mold from a single cavity prototype, to a high production multi-cavity hot runner tool.
